One of the great joys of EHE is that you can plan learning to meet the needs of your child(ren). There is no expectation to follow the National Curriculum. We offer a bespoke planning package, which includes the following:
Initial consultation to find out your child's interests and what is important to you as a family
Creation of a 2 week plan, with suggested ideas of activities across a range of subject areas
Once you choose EHE, the financial responsibility for educating your child becomes entirely your own. EHE can be costly, but it doesn't need to be. At Anderson Tutoring, we offer a selection of lower cost, pre-recorded sessions. Lessons will be offered on phonics & early reading, and maths initially and will include the following:
A minimum of 21 x 30 minute lessons (recorded only) That's just over £2 per lesson!
Access to a Google Classroom online community, where you can revisit the recordings, find resources to support the lessons and discuss the learning content with Anderson Tutoring and your peers
For many who choose to home educate, it can be important to continue some form of structure linked to reading, writing and maths. We are able to offer targeted support in these key areas on a 1:1 basis or in small groups of no larger than 8 pupils. This will include the following:
A session planned specifically to the needs of the child or the group
In the moment feedback
Optional homework if desired
Access to a Google Classroom online, where all resources will be available, as well as the ability to discuss the content with Anderson Tutoring and ask any questions
Choosing to EHE can be scary at first but knowing you are doing the right thing for your family is extremely rewarding. The Local Authority (LA) requests a report to show what you have been doing and to detail progress made at key intervals during your EHE journey. It can be a daunting task, ensuring you are able to articulate all of the amazing things that are happening in a format that will satisfy the requirements of the LA. Anderson Tutoring are able to offer support in writing your report. This service includes the following:
Initial consultation to establish what your child has been learning
A draft write up of the report, sent to you to confirm information
A final copy written and sent to you
**Please be aware that whilst Anderson Tutoring provides the writing service, responsibility for the content of the report remains with the parent/carer. Anderson Tutoring cannot take responsibility for any factual inaccuracies contained within the report.
